Breathe gently.
Never force it.
For relaxation, not medical treatment. For medical advice, talk to a doctor or other healthcare professional. Breathe gently. If you feel dizzy, tingly or short of breath, stop and breathe normally. Never in or near water, or while driving. Pregnant, or a heart, lung or seizure condition, or panic disorder? Check with a doctor first. Not for emergencies: call your local emergency number. To pause at any time, hold anywhere for 2 seconds.
You are in control
The app has a visible Pause button during a session. In Lids Down, hold anywhere for two seconds to pause and silence guidance; screen-reader users have a labelled Pause control. Resume only when you choose. A slower pattern is not a target to push through: choose a comfortable pace or stop.
The designer limits breathing speed and hold duration. Those limits are safeguards, not a medical assessment or a guarantee of safety. Hushcount does not offer hyperventilation, breath-hold tests, underwater practice or a physiological score.
If you need urgent help
Use your local emergency service for an emergency: 112 across the European Union and Romania; 999 or 112 in the United Kingdom; 911 in the United States and Canada; 000 in Australia. These examples do not cover every country.
For confidential emotional support in your country, Find a Helpline maintains a directory of services. Hushcount and the support email are not monitored as crisis services.
